About Forepost

What Forepost is, and why verification is the floor.

Forepost is a market for golfers and the verified PGA coaches who teach them. Every coach on the directory holds an active PGA of America membership, verified against the national roster the day they applied and re-checked every month. Pricing is on the profile before you ever reach out, and a short lesson request is the only step between opening a coach’s page and hearing back.

Why verification matters

The PGA badge is the floor — and the floor you can count on.

Anyone can call themselves a golf coach. Only a PGA of America member has cleared a multi-year apprenticeship, a playing-ability test, a written exam, and ongoing education hours. Forepost checks that bar when a coach applies, then re-checks every profile against the national roster on the first of every month.

  • Verified against the PGA of America roster

Every applicant’s member number is cross-checked against the national record on the day the application is reviewed — no match, no profile.

  • Re-verified on the first of every month

The badge you see on a profile today is current, not a snapshot from the day the coach signed up. If a membership lapses, the badge disappears automatically — no manual review step.

  • Transparent per-hour pricing on every profile

The rate on the profile is the rate you pay — no quote requests, no auction of your lesson fee. You can compare two coaches’ pages without getting strung along.

How to search and book

Three steps between opening a page and hearing back.

Forepost keeps the surface area small on purpose — so the work that matters happens at the lesson, not in a back-and-forth that drags on for a week.

Step 01

Search your neighborhood

Open the directory by city or ZIP and a short curated list narrows down to a metro near you. Every coach on the page is a verified PGA member, re-checked the first of every month, so the badge you see is current.

Step 02

Compare side-by-side

Each profile carries the per-hour rate, the home course, the specialties, and a reel of the coach’s swing clips. The rate on the page is the rate you pay — Forepost does not run quote requests.

Step 03

Send a short request

One swing thought, one fit question, one preferred tee time. The coach’s response window is on the profile — most replies land within a business day, and reschedules are two taps.

Before you book

Five questions players ask before stepping onto the range.

The important details should be clear before you choose a coach, a time, or a payment screen.

Find a coach near you

Every profile on the directory carries the same monthly-verified PGA badge — pick a city, and the trust signal travels with you.
